Patiënt delete (GDPR)

What does this feature do?

You can permanently delete a patient from your practice.

👉 This means:

• All personal data is deleted
• The patient will not return via sync
• Appointments remain, but without a name (anonymous)

⚠️ This action cannot be undone

When should you use this?

When a patient requests:

• To be deleted (GDPR)
• To stop receiving communication (opt-out)

How do you delete a patient?

• Go to Patients
• Search for the patient
• Open the patient
• Click on ⋮ (three dots)
• Click "Remove patient and exclude from sync"

• Click "Remove permanently"

Done ✅

What happens afterwards?

❌ Patient is removed from TurnUp
❌ Will not be re-synced via your PMS system
✅ Appointments remain visible (fully anonymous)

Important to know

• Only admins can perform this action
• The patient can still:
  • Use the TurnUp app (and request full deletion via the app)
  • Exist at other practices
