Why Am I Still Receiving a Reminder?

Have you received a reminder for an appointment that you already cancelled? This can be confusing. In most cases, the appointment has been cancelled correctly, but the reminder was already scheduled or sent before the cancellation was fully processed.

Possible Causes

The Cancellation Was Recently Processed

A reminder may already have been scheduled or sent when the cancellation was registered.

The Cancellation Was Not Processed Correctly

In some cases, the appointment was not properly cancelled in the healthcare practice's system, causing the reminder to be sent.

What Can You Do?
  1. Check in the TurnUp app whether the appointment is marked as cancelled.
  2. Contact your healthcare practice to confirm that the cancellation was processed correctly.
  3. If the appointment is shown as cancelled, no further action is required.
