# What happens if I cancel my appointment?

If you need to cancel your appointment, you can do so in **several ways**:

- via the **link in the confirmation email or SMS**,
- by **contacting your dental practice directly**,
- or through the **TurnUp World app**.

Once you cancel the appointment, your time slot becomes available again in the practice’s schedule. This allows other patients to be helped sooner. If needed, the practice can **add you back to the waitlist**.
